In the NICU, babies receive round-the-clock monitoring and care from a team of healthcare professionals, including neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists. The unit is equipped with advanced medical technology like incubators, ventilators, and monitors, Warmer, Phototherapy unit to help stabilize and support the newborn’s health until their health recovery
Why newborn baby admitted to NICU ?
Premature babies (born before 37 weeks) are at a higher risk for complications include heart and lung issues, brain bleeds, low blood sugar, feeding difficulties, jaundice, and infections. Full-term babies can also be admitted to the NICU for congenital conditions, infections, illness.
